The backbone of our operations, we are always on the lookout for talented and hard-working scaffolders. You’re at the heart of our business, delivering scaffolding on building sites, business premises and for our residential customers alike. No two jobs are the same and being adaptable, thinking on your feet and committed to success are essential qualities. All our scaffolders must have CISRS cards, valid and in date.
All our Scaffolds are erected to the most up to date TG20 standards, compliant with our customers needs and demands. You’ll be working across Yorkshire and Lancashire on jobs both big and small, supporting customers and delivering excellent levels of service.
About you:
You will need to be a qualified scaffolder, whether you’re relatively new to the role or an experienced hand we would love to hear from you. Our work takes us all over Yorkshire and Lancashire, supporting customers, businesses and building sites alike with our high quality, TG20:21 compliant scaffolding. Our work forms an important part of the construction industry; without us sites would come to a halt. Members of staff will need to work whatever the weather Monday – Friday, with optional overtime available on occasion on Saturdays.
Working with the public you must always present a professional front, always representing Skipton Scaffolds in a positive light. The ideal candidate should:
- Be hardworking with a strong work ethic
- Reliable and dependable
- Adaptable to new situations and to working in a changing environment
- CISRS Cards to Part 2 or Advanced Scaffolder; valid and in date
- Fully knowledgeable on tube and fitting scaffolding
- Professional and polite
- Willing to work whatever the weather
- Comfortable in all aspects of scaffolding, working on both building sites and private property
- Fully compliant with our RAMS and Health and Safety policies
Qualifications:
- Part 2 Scaffolder (CISRS Card valid and in date) OR Part 2 Advanced Scaffolder (valid CISRS card in date)
Rates of Pay:
Many of our Scaffolders are self-employed. Wages are paid every Friday.
The rate of pay for this position is heavily dependant on experience and qualifications. You can expect around £17.50 – £19.00 per hour for an inexperienced scaffolder. It only goes up from there!
If you have a valid HGV license then this will increase the hourly rate.
Career Advancement
We are looking for members of staff to take on further responsibilities, with suitable renumeration available to such a candidate. We’re always looking for dynamic team leaders, able to ensure the job runs smoothly. Once established within the business you could be running your own team.
For those wishing to undertake further training this will be considered with funding options available.
Desirables
Any qualified scaffolder with a relevant HGV license is strongly encouraged to apply, with an increase in hourly rate for just such a candidate.
Any relevant H&S training / qualifications will also be a benefit.
