Get a Quote For Your Project

Please read prior to accepting quote, acceptance of a quote will be taken as acceptance of the following

  • Payment terms – Payment to be made in full as per our invoice, issued around the time the scaffold will be erected. In some situations, we may ask for a deposit up front – this will be made clear to you at the time.

  • Invoices for progressive lift scaffolding (those requiring multiple visits) will be fully invoiced on the first lift, unless otherwise agreed. Each itemised lift must be paid on the date of erection, delays to payments may result in the following lifts being put on hold.

  • In any case where the invoice remains unpaid, we will make every reasonable effort to contact you. Failure to respond in a timely manner will result in your account being forwarded to a Debt Collection Agency. By accepting these terms, you also acknowledge that all costs associated with collecting this debt will be covered by yourself and not Structural Plant Services Ltd.

  • We cannot be held responsible for any damage to roof slates, this should be checked as the scaffold is dismantled. If any damage is found, we will leave the scaffolding up to gutter level to give your roofer safe access to make necessary repairs at no additional charge / hire charge.

  • Unless specifically stated the quote includes 1 x visit to strip the scaffold. Any additional visits to remove the scaffold, for instance stripping one half of the job to comply with a pavement license, will be chargeable.

  • Any signal from satellite dishes near to the scaffold may be affected whilst the scaffold is in place. If the householder is present whilst the scaffold is being built, we will try to ensure an uninterrupted signal. In cases where we are requested to return to site and see what we can do we reserve the right to charge a small fee at our discretion; you will be made aware of this prior to the work commencing

  • Whenever a Pavement License is required, it is the responsibility of the named contractor / customer to inform Skipton Scaffolds that the scaffold is no longer required. If you are requested to pay for this in advance you must do so before the job is booked in. Any additional costs for late removal of the scaffold will be passed on to the customer. The rates and length of time afforded to you by the local authority varies and we only pass the cost on to you and this will be made clear prior to booking the job in.

  • Our quote allows for working Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm unless otherwise agreed, extra costs will be incurred if out of hours working is required

  • All scaffolding quotes come with a minimum of 6 weeks hire included. If you finish with the scaffolding sooner than this, it does not entitle you to a discount. A charge of 5% per week will apply thereafter until scaffold is dismantled

  • When you are finished with your scaffold you must contact us by email to rob@skiptonscaffolds.co.uk. All invoices up to that point must be paid in full, otherwise the hire will continue. At this point we will off hire the scaffold and arrange for it to be taken down. Please allow up to 14 days from off hiring the scaffold for us to come and remove it.

  • The scaffold must NOT be tampered with in any way. All scaffolding is built to the latest TG20 standards, alterations are only to be carried out by members of our team. Any scaffold found to have been tampered with can result in inspection charges being levied as well as remedial work or us condemning the scaffold. If there are any changes required, you must speak to us first.

  • Any adaptions or alterations to scaffolds not included within the original quote will be charged for.

  • An electronic handover certificate will be issued upon completion of scaffold, from this point the scaffold is the responsibility of the main contractor. A competent person must inspect the scaffold every 7 days and after any adverse weather. Our quotes do not include inspection charges, if you require this from us, please specify.

  • Unauthorised access onto scaffolds must be prevented, we do not supply a ladder from the ground up, if a ladder is required, please let us know prior to erecting scaffold. When scaffolds are not in use any ladders from the ground up should be removed or covered with a lockable cover that covers the entirety of the rungs, or a locked barrier placed around the base of the scaffold or site perimeter (eg. Heras / Harris fencing)

  • All scaffolds must be cleaned off by yourselves on completion of works prior to dismantling. Any scaffold we refuse to strip due to the condition will incur additional charges for the visit or cleaning charges.

  • We reserve the right to charge appropriately at our day rate for any last-minute cancellations or if we attend the site and are unable to carry out the work as described – this could be due to a no show from the contractor, Health and Safety breaches that prohibit our work etc. We will discuss this and make these charges transparent at the time.

  • Any damage or impact to the scaffold, however minor, should be reported to us immediately. We reserve the right to charge for any repair work in the face of damage caused by storms or adverse weather or accidental / deliberate acts.
